“ Another great experience at the Chinese Gourmet. Our goto meals are Happy Family and Dragon & Phoenix. For those who may not be aware, the use of plastic tableware and plates is not some environmentally careless choice made by the owners, it is a dictate of the county health inspector. This is a common occurrence in older food facilities under newer management (in every state of the union) - instead of spending $10K dollars for a dishwashing retrofit (because they don't have the right number and configuration of sinks and/or a dedicated dishwashing machine and gear installed, they are allowed to operate with a "no dishwashing" provision. This eliminates all items that would require suitable washing facilities - ceramic plates, metal tableware, teapots, ceramic cups, etc. Super friendly people with excellent food. All meats were high-quality and tender, all vegetables crips and delicious. We will undoubtedly keep going back as we have been, at least once a month for the foreseeable future. ”
